Renaissance Catering had the pleasure of serving a wedding party at Oceans Landing on August 8th, 2015. The bride and group chose to have both their ceremony and their reception at the venue, and boy was it beautiful. There theme had a very Valentines Day feel to it, with the overarching theme being, well, their love! There were rose petals strewn about on all of the tables, all of which were decorated by beautiful glass center pieces that were pillared columns. The bride was gorgeous in her dress, and the groom looked like quite a dashing fellow in his suite with a red vest! It was an intimate affair, with just around 50 people, but everyone was lively and embracing the love theme. There was dancing, which the kids enthusiastically took part in, conversation, reminiscing, speeches of pride and love, and everything else that goes into making a wedding and a reception so special. All of the guests were so welcoming and so accommodating to all of our staff while they went about their duties. In each of the blog posts, it’s always discussed about how to really set a reception apart, to make it something special, and this event did just that. Each guest, at the end of the night, received a glass rose in a case no bigger than a pen. These little gifts were gorgeous, and each guest got to walk away with a little memory. The food served consisted of crab rangoon, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped scallops for the appetizers. The guests couldn’t get enough of the crab rangoon and curry sauce! The main entree consisted of green beans and asparagus, with most guests getting a helping of both, sweet potato with a marshmallow topping, loaded mashed potatoes, delicious shrimp scampi that was completely devoured, and a gorgeous steak that was cooked to a delicate red color. The event was a success and we wish the couple happiness and love throughout the rest of the journey of their lives!
